 SERMON:   

                     PAVING A GATEWAY FOR YOUR SPIRIT.

 _INTRO_ : A spirit of a man is the inner self of a person. It is composed of character, behavior and thoughts. Dreams and plans lie their.

Whatever a man does depends on what they take in and what they let their spirit execute.

 _PROB_ : The problem we have is we have alot of misperceptions and have ignorantly tied ourselves in spirit; and so are not moving as expected.

 _PURP_ : Therefore the purpose of this lesson is to help us loose our spirits from wrong norms and perceptions to pave way for progress.

   >>>>What hinders a spirit is a spirit. For example what hinders your spirit from forgiveness is a spirit of unforgiveness .

What holds back your heart is the mindset.

Fear, low esteem , doubt are perceptions that imprison the creativity of the heart...and at the end, one is unable to make progress.

To overcome all hinderances that stagnant progress, one has to overcome the hinderances that lie deep in the heart, the misperceptions, wrong emotions and wrong believes.

   The first thing you should consider before taking action is your heart.... yourself. You cannot do what you don't believe you can.... therefore to pave a way;

🌐 *BELIEVE IN YOURSELF* .

*Phil 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

  ⚜️️ As believers have one assurance, that Christ who is above everything is for us. He rules everything. And therefore whatever efforts we put forward through Him, we can do...

⚜️️Believing that Christ works in you is trusting in His almighty abilities.

He lives In us and so believe that the dream that is in your heart is by him and so you can do .

⚜️️The lord has placed uniqueness in every creature including you. Your bunch of abilities is unique. Believe in your abilities, believe in yourself first, believe that you can before taking a step.

The belief in yourself release all be emotions of fear and doubt. It instead stimulates feelings of worth. Worth to accomplish what is before you ; in your ministry, in you dreams , in your business, in careers...

>>>You cannot understand that you can do unless you challenge yourself.

🌐 *CHALLENGE YOURSELF* .

   ⚜️️Achieving the challenge that you have set gives you the energy to believe you can achieve even bigger targets.

  Challenge yourself beginning from small targets to bigger targets. Christ said that one who can be entrusted with the small is fit for the big. If you can pass the small target then you tackle the bigger ones.

*1Sam 17:8-9, 25-27, 32-37. 8

. Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, "Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. .9 If he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us." .25 Now the Israelites had been saying, "Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him. He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his father's family from taxes in Israel." .26 David asked the men standing near him, "What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?" .27 They repeated to him what they had been saying and told him, "This is what will be done for the man who kills him." .32 David said to Saul, "Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him." .33 Saul replied, "You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been a fighting man from his youth." .34 But David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, .35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. .36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. .37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."

 ⚜️️ Here we see how David climbs up the ladders of challenges. He starts with overcoming the lions and bears . On overcoming the smaller challenges, he gets the confidence that he can overcome goliath. After overcoming goliath, he Is promoted to become the leader of israel.

 The challenges gave him the energy to move higher. He understood himself. He knew well his abilities and thus could face the challenge. Before you set targets and challenges for yourself, you need to understand yourself first. Understand your weaknesses and and your strengths, then use your strengths to face the challenge. David knew that he couldn't use the armour to overpower goliath, but since he was used to stonning, he knew stones will help him better. Though you may not understand yourself 100% , but you can understand yourself better others.

⚜️ Understanding yourself makes you set targets that are real. It gives you confidence. And overcoming the challenge you set gives you the energy and opens up your spirit.

  You cannot know that you are the best chef unless you go to the kitchen and cook. You cannot know that you are the best runner unless you start to run. Challenge yourself now.

🌐 *RESIST ALL NEGATIVITIES (SPIRIT AND BODY)* .

*James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

⚜️️Submit yourself to God and resist the devil. God represents the positive, the devil represent the negative. To resit all negativities in your life, you have to fully submit to the good. To resist all wrong words of people, you have to submit to the right words, to your targets

 If you think some people in your life are devils, resist them.

  If you think the negative words that people say against you are devil to your destiny , resist them.

 ⚜️️ Wrong emotions of fear, wrong emotions of anger, wrong emotions of doubt are strong devils , resist, resist them.

  Your weaknesses in your life could be the devil to your destiny , resist them.

    Don't lean on the negativities, don't lean on your weaknesses. Lean on your strengths. Your strengths give you the confidence and assurance of what you hope to do.

   Anger draws us back, hatred draws us back ,wrong perceptions of failure hold us back .Misery is a feeling that makes you believe you are meant to suffer; it is all wrong, let go of all such feelings.

   ⚜️️Unforgiving heart chains your heart, it gives you such a weight that you think about nothing productive but the people you have failed to forgive. Release that spirit now. Whatever the devil has set in your heart , you need to resist it. The sin that never lets you alone, you need to resist it now in mighty name of Jesus.

  ⚜️️ You know the devil overcomes you through your weaknesses, through the people that surround you ,through the words the people say against you....to pave a way for your spirit, you need to resist them now.

⚜️️ Resisting such negativities and wrong emotions sets your heart free and all that is stimulated in your mind is positive emotions...the positive emotions of love, the positive perceptions of your dreams, the positive emotions of forgiveness, the the positive thoughts and emotions of righteousness.

⚜️️ You cannot progress further if you still hold onto such negativities. They are chains that make you stangant in one position...... Release them all.

*CONCLUSION.*

✓In this journey of salvation, in the journey of your dream, your spirit is key to your success. The spirit of God works with a free spirit. A spirit free from doubt , free from unforgiveness. 

✓Release all negativities and start believing in your heart, start believing in Christ who lives In you.

✓Set such a strong faith that even the devil will have no room in your heart.

✓Challenge yourself, understand your strengths and weaknesses. Lean on you strengths. Believe, believe that you can, your spirit will be free.
