CONFIDENCE IN GOD. 

Jeremiah:17.7 
 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

 The heart is the remote control of the body. Emotions that drive the body come from the heart. Confidence is an element of the heart, doubt is an element of the heart, fear is an element of the heart, faith is an element of the heart.

Confidence however, is an element that sets the elements of the heart to a given focus. A focus such as a personality. Confidence will drive faith towards the focus, confidence will drive love towards the the focus. It can drive away the negative perceptions you had before about the personality in question. Confidence builds your character upon a personality.

Many times, we are overcome by the devil because we lack ultimate confidence in God. We are overcome by fears because of the limited confidence we have in God. The joy on our faces that makes us green is lost because of the tender confidence. Overcome by worries due to lack of confidence in the ultimate power of God to provide.

Within the above , confidence is compared to a tree that is besides flowing waters. Such a tree has ultimate knowledge and confidence of its provisions. It knows that its water and food will come from the river. It depends on the river. It sends out roots with confidence that the river will provide. And because of such confidence, it stays green and healthy.
How many times have you limited your confidence in the Lord, the provider,......and have trusted other means ?
