THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL

Romans 1:16

 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

 One of the powerful tools that God has given us is the power in His word. Many people say that they don't want to hear anything to do with the gospel. It is not their making, the devil clearly knows that faith comes by hearing. And he knows that they will be saved from his traps if they listen. When you give someone time to listen to the gospel, there will be a time when the spirit in them yields salvation unto them.

It is not in your power to save yourself; it is not in your power to save a soul. It is the power of God through the gospel. It is therefore a role that you should play; to listen to the gospel. Salvation is like a seed that needs watering for it to grow and do the work. For salvation to become salvation, there should be a watering process that should be done. If you feel you need salvation, you have to embrace the watering process.

Now before we continue further, many of us think salvation is a once a while thing and that is done. We think that it is only the unbelievers that need salvation and that we the believers don't need it.
My dear friend, the Bible says that the devil goes to and fro the earth, looking for whom to devour. Every day, the devil is looking to impart incurable sicknesses into your body. Every day, the devil is looking for how to ruin your marriage. Every day he is looking for how to make you backslide. Even when you are asleep, the devil is busy working to overthrow the things that you have built through Christ. It is therefore obvious that we need salvation every day. Salvation refers to saving. Saving from danger and from whatever trap the devil sets everyday.

Now it is clear within scripture that the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. We receive salvation from the gospel. 
It is therefore incumbent upon us to listen to the gospel occasionally. The power in it will build our standard of salvation. Read within scripture daily, there is power. There is power to heal you, there is power to rescue you . There is power to direct your paths. There is power in the word of God. Whatever you think of doing on a daily basis, let feeding on this word be one of your priorities.
