ODYSSEY OF THE GODLY

2 Corinthians 7:10

 godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11 See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

When he was born, he was a young and an admirable son. He was liked by all that knew him. And that because he was born of a woman who was a virgin, Jesus was known even in his youth hood by many. The time came , it was time for him to exibit all that that God had sent him to do. He started to preach in the temples as young as 12 years. He however started his ministry when he was 30 years of age. When he started to show who he was, the world started to hate what he was. His journey started being rough when he showed up all that God had sent him to do.

When we see this in our lives. The world will start to hate you when they see that all God has made you to be - coming to pass. You may have moved smoothly with people in the historical journey. But there reached a time when people go against you for what they see you strtaing to become. It is the Odyssey of the godly. It is a long journey that is filled with mayhem. There are ups and there are downs.

Even Christ said it. That in this world, you will face many challenges, but never be afraid for He is with you. He said that in as much as the world hated Him first so shall we be hated. We who hold His name are on journey of godly sorrow.

But there is something fishy in all this, godly sorrow produces enduring fruits . It is not like the sorrow of the world. Godly sorrow produces true repentance. It produces earnestness, eagerness indignation, longing. There is a man that is born from the journey of godly sorrow. There is a person that you become. And that even in the end of the matter, you will receive the glory that is prepared by our Lord Jesus. 
My brother and sister, even when you feel the world has gone against you, know that it went against Jesus first. Know that something fishy is behind this journey. Know that there is a reward at the end your life. In whichever way you go, prove yourself to be innocent and unharmful.
