PRIDE OF BETHLEHEM

Matthew 2:6.

“‘ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.

 A small town in the south of Jerusalem is unheard of. It was not the greatest town in times before the Messiah. Bethlehem was a humble land before God drew it on the map.

But humble as it was, God made His signature appear from there. A ruler was to be born from that land. One who would change all that Israel had become. It was the pride of Bethlehem. It was their season to prevail.

And of course, people started to know the town just after the great story had transpired. Even upto date, people go there to have the feel of what it is like to be in the land where the Messiah was born.

From Grass to grace. 
There is something that God can use to lift you to somewhere your dreams couldn't reach. There is a simple element that God can use to draw your name on the globe. He is not a limited God. He has all the connections on the earth and all the resources. It doesn't take Him hard time to lift the humble.

Even when you are humble, know that God's time to lift you will come. Even when no one knows about you, God knows the time He will lift you to be known by those you may never know. The pride of Bethlehem is a root of humble beginnings. We see that many times within scripture, God has brought up many people who were humble and unheard of. From the times of Abraham through Moses through Esther; God has showed his ability to lift anyone He wishes.
One thing to learn in this season is that if God could lift the others; Bethlehem inclusive, He can lift you also.

Craving for the future is one thing I have realized does not end. Even the very rich still have cravings. There can not be a moment where cravings end and the mind is inactive only thriving in gratification. Such a moment is only created by us. Anyway, that was a by- the- way. Our point starts from here. The future does not hold the roots but the past does. The roots are not from the sky but are from where the tree started. It is easier to move in a group than to move alone. Standing for the right is harder nowadays than it was those days. Not because the governments have become more ruthless than they were those days, but because powerful governments of social influence have arisen than they were those days.
