GHETTO THIEVES

Matthew 13:4

As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

      In the night, he was all working hard to prepare the best. He prayed that he gets the best for sheep waiting. He made it an effort that the best is generated and that all will be satisfied. The Shepard produced the best pasture on paper, in soul and in the mind. 
But at arrival, the sheep didn't even bother. But some were alert. When he started to spill the message, some were sleepy and as if unwilling to consume the pasture. And when the sheep returned, the sheep didn't remember what the pasture theme was all about . They forgot.

Not because they chose the forget button, but the black birds of the skies came and took away the seeds.
When they realize there is no much zeal within the sheep's heart to take the word of truth, they gather in full and gather up all the remains of the word.

They don't ask permission to steal what God has sowed into the heart through his servants. They simply come through the loopholes. What are these loopholes. The lack of a zealous heart to take the seeds and to take the word. The lack of prayer as you listen or read the word. A sinful heart that is like home to the black birds of the skies.

This sow and steal mechanism is one huge element that has made Christians stagnant and not really growing at all. They come to take the word but either leave it there or are stolen as they face the endless challenges of this life.

What should we do to guard against these poor thieves of darkness. 
Listen with the heart. Know your place at the word table and know how all these words apply to you and your life. Pray silently as you listen carefully. And this word from the pulpit will stay with confidence and grow as time passes by.
