OPPORTUNITY Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. --------------------------------------------     There is an example that my pastor at one time used to describe character. She said that when a roof is having a hole and leaks. Every time water leaks, it rubs out sand and breaks a bit of concrete. And if this water has the mind of digging a hole , it would dig it over time from the little drop. Water is weak but is one of the most destructive elements we have. It has claimed lives more than acids. But it does so from a character point of view. This is how powerful discipline is. Displine is not a single button that prompts an overflow of results. There is a season that there is a bit of lack and so much want. But there are moments that an overflow happens. There is a moment when a new blessing comes your way and is an answer to a long time prayer. Mary and Joseph had their moment of unique blessing. They had their turn to ashame their enemies. They had their turn to feel proud and to feel high in spirit. But chaos erupted. Herod wanted that child dead. He looked for all ways to have the child dead. Mary and Joseph were under strong threat. He knew that his time for death was nearing. He had to plan for his children on how to leave them. So that he didn't leave them as orphans and ones who hadn't had parents before. He had a large piece of land which he used to cultivate his crops for sale. Have you thought about what is going on between you and Christ? Christ being born was something that changed the relationship that we had between ourselves and God. In those days, God drew rules. Anything and anyone that fell away from those rules would face the punishment right away. Even at some point, people were not given time to repent as God's rule didn't give such room. AT NIGHT 1 Kings 3:5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” --------------------------------------------    Every morning, we all get the ways and get ready for the day. We know its a day to work and look for what matters to make our dreams matter. Even in the day, we work so hard to make ends meet. We toil and toil and toil. But this is not the only place of toil. There is a time when a similar toil of a different dimension is also called for.  The Lord is holy and communicates with holy grounds. In many times the Lord spoke to his people, he spoke at night. He spoke when there is sleep. If he interacts with holy grounds, it is easy for him not to interact with hearts full of iniquity. LIQUID FAITH Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” --------------------------------------------    They had lived and walked with Him for some time. He called each of them from different angles of life. Some were fisher men and others were tax collectors. They had different things that filled their hearts rather than the things of the Lord. When they started to walk with the Christ, they didn't immediately know that He was the Christ. It took them so long to get to understand that for sure the one they were walking with was the Christ. And when at one point Jesus asked "who do you think I am", Peter said, "you are the Christ". And that regardless of what others had called Him, they called Him Christ. OMNIPRESENT Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. -------------------------------------------- One trouble that sets the pace of all other troubles is the fact that we draw in our minds. We may move through this world . We may encounter various situations. We may encounter various people. And of course we may encounter various challenges. What sets the pace for great challenges is thinking you are in singular. When a house is built on a single pole, it makes the house vulnerable to winds and rains.
