SON OF THE YEAR                   PREPARATIONS Proverbs 30:25 Ants are creatures of little strength,  yet they store up their food in the summer --------------------------------------------     Even in the abundance of summer, the ant is wise. She knows food will not come from the sky and fall to their aid. They work harder to have enough for winter. They gather enough material to erect the strong house. They gather enough food to prepare for the inadequacy that awaits them in the new season. Of course the house they build so diligently will remain as a master piece to remind them of their hardwork in 2026. The seasons are coming this year. The seasons where there will be lack and want. NEW CHALLENGE John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” --------------------------------------------      The higher you go , the harder it becomes. There was a young boy who was prophesied to be the saviour of a people that were tormented by a ruthless king. The boy didn't have enough power and training. So his people started to train him with different skill. A final training was set for him. He was supposed to be trained by the ultimate best trainers. But training at such levels presented immense challenges. We realised that the higher he went the harder it became for him. But also the more he persisted with the challenges and training, the more better he became and the more ready he was to beat the ruthless king. He bought an expensive cup with lots of his money. He loved the cup so much. But it was ordinary because even the neighbours had a number of them. He used to drink every drink using his cup. But the cup got worn out after several years. He used it for 15 years. The cup got broken at the edge where he would drink from. It really got worn out and he needed to buy another. But he was conservative. He still used the broken cup in it's broken state. He gambled using it and it would simply give him hard time using it but he couldn't let go. OMNIPRESENT Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. -------------------------------------------- One trouble that sets the pace of all other troubles is the fact that we draw in our minds. We may move through this world . We may encounter various situations. We may encounter various people. And of course we may encounter various challenges. What sets the pace for great challenges is thinking you are in singular. When a house is built on a single pole, it makes the house vulnerable to winds and rains. But the house that is built on various poles and support gives its inhabitants confidence of being safe from any form of disturbances. Knowing this, he fled to Midian where he met the Lord. And being asked by the Lord to rescue his people from slavery, Moses refused. He thought that role was better with someone more superior. But after the Lord insisting, he took the task. The people who were thought as slaves were no lesser to stubbornness and disrespect. They gave Moses hard time.
