SON OF THE YEAR                     NOVELTY Isaiah 43:18 “Forget the former things;  do not dwell on the past. --------------------------------------------     This is like the owner of a house. He bought an expensive cup with lots of his money. He loved the cup so much. But it was ordinary because even the neighbours had a number of them. He used to drink every drink using his cup. But the cup got worn out after several years. He used it for 15 years. The cup got broken at the edge where he would drink from. It really got worn out and he needed to buy another. But he was conservative. He still used the broken cup in it's broken state. He gambled using it and it would simply give him hard time using it but he couldn't let go. THE CREED AT THE THRONE   Psalms 40:1  I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. -------------------------------------------- There are of course alot of times we pray for something and we feel we need that fast enough. And if am not mistaken , it is most of the times that we pray. We simply want answers right then. And some demand for the answers right away. But either way, you want God to come to your aid at the time you think He should come. But have you ever wondered why some people pray and receive their answers alittle fast compared to a similar prayer someone else had? Well that happens, you can pray and I pray the same thing yet we receive answers at different times.  With the scripture above, interpreting it may seem easy, but diving into it could seem a bit hard. OMNIPRESENT Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. -------------------------------------------- One trouble that sets the pace of all other troubles is the fact that we draw in our minds. We may move through this world . We may encounter various situations. We may encounter various people. And of course we may encounter various challenges. What sets the pace for great challenges is thinking you are in singular. When a house is built on a single pole, it makes the house vulnerable to winds and rains. But the house that is built on various poles and support gives its inhabitants confidence of being safe from any form of disturbances. Even in those days, when they used send us for oil at a near by shop in the night, we had very strong fears. FORWARD Luke 13:33  In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—... --------------------------------------------    A Levite in the desert thought was cunning. After killing the Egyptian, he sauntered back to the community. Little did he realise that he was noticed by his fellow and that the news had gone about faster than it could. Knowing this, he fled to Midian where he met the Lord. And being asked by the Lord to rescue his people from slavery, Moses refused. He thought that role was better with someone more superior. But after the Lord insisting, he took the task. The people who were thought as slaves were no lesser to stubbornness and disrespect. They gave Moses hard time. But one thing that happened was forward movement.  Even the Lord used lots of wonders to sustain them through the journey and yet many died from their stubbornness.
