 Do not pay attention to every word people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you--

 The heart is deceitful above all things......who understands the heart of man...
People you think are good today are the very ones you come to realize are evil tomorrow. 

You may chase after pleasing people. But the heart of people cannot be pleased fully. You may think that you are doing all the best for someone today, but the very one is talking ill about you tomorrow. 
Never listen to what people say. Don't listen to what people are. Don't listen to the hearts of people. Because your very beloved could be the one telling people not to get close to you because of what he or she thinks is wrong with you. Don't not lean on people. They are like shifting shadows. Today they are different from what they were yesterday. Today they talk about this and tomorrow is another topic. They will praise you now and spread rumors about your weakness then. 

If we were to listen to all that people say, then our lives would not be ours to live. Live your life and let people do the talking.
