JOY TO THE WORLD

Luke 2:13-14

 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

     The nations that were used to hear from God were no longer getting any messages. It was a moment of peace and reluctance. But a promise was made unto every nation. That a king will be born . And that the government will be on his shoulders. But that he will bring peace to the world.

Peace indeed. The oppressed will have liberty. The hungry will have plenty of food. The prisoners will be free from the prisons. The slaves will be free from their former slavery. Those held in darkness will see light. Those ignorant will be given knowledge and better understanding. Those who are down with disease and sicknesses will have their healing.

It is great news. 
And when He was born, it seemed normal Noel . Shepards were busy grazing and enjoying the evening breeze. Everything was conventional. 
And in a blink of an eye, an angel appeared with great tidings. That in your capital, a savior has been Born. Immediately after his lines, a great company appeares with him. But they said that the peace of the Lord is upon those ones who are highly favored by God.

Who are those that are favored by God?
There is a spirit that passes by in this season. Like the angels came with great company to deliver the joy to the world, a bunch of heavenly hosts are hear to deliver joy to our world.
Not so quick to receive the joy. First, the joy is to those who fear and love God and his people. It is to those who are favored by the Almighty God!
Even in the Bible, those that were favored were enlisted and highlighted and defined. Peace and joy to the world. Are you favored? How do you know?

OLDEN STRENGTH Psalm 77:1 I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. -------------------------------------------- It is easy to go through life thinking about the future and forgetting the past. Craving for the future is one thing I have realized does not end. Even the very rich still have cravings. There can not be a moment where cravings end and the mind is inactive only thriving in gratification. Such a moment is only created by us. Anyway, that was a by- the- way. Our point starts from here. The future does not hold the roots but the past does. The roots are not from the sky but are from where the tree started. What makes the tree strong are the roots .  What makes the future strong are the roots. They are the past. You cannot know where you should go unless you know where you came from.
