HE IS RISEN
HE IS RISEN
Matthew 28:5-6
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Did the disciples of Jesus ever think that what He said would come to pass? I mean, did they ever hope that on the third day they would see what He told them? According to the atmosphere they presented, they didn't seem to be filled with hope and keep note of what He had promised. They had believed miracles because they saw that He had done them. It's like much of their belief was after something had transpired.
What would make them not to take note of the prophecy about the third day event? Maybe it's by God's design.
We see women who had no remembrance of what the Messiah had spoken about Himself. They went as usual for their job. They went with the anointings to cleanse the body as it was their culture. They didn't have any slight idea about what they would encounter.
A mighty earthquake shook the place. An angel had descended to bring great news to them - That the Messiah is not among the dead. The Messiah is risen.
They went in shock mixed with joy and also disbelief.
But Jesus appeared to them and the evidence was enough. But it is had to believe in a few moments. He didn't just come and go. That would seem ghostly.
He came and stayed with them for forty days. He ate with them and continued to teach as He used to teach amidst them. This was to groundly prove that God is God of both flesh and spirit.
GOD BLESS YOU
