Matthew 26:2-4

“As you know, the Passover is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.” Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.

   There are eyes out there. They are bold and all wanting. They have seen you and keep seeing you. There are also those ones in deep realms of spirituality. They plan day and night against all that God has made you to be. And because they plan all the possible ill against you, they have set their stage on earth to have an army to fight you.

There is an army that fights in the spirit and there is also an army that fights in the physical - and the physical are all around.

The devil was not happy at the birth of Jesus. He knew what it meant to have the Messiah born. He used the physical army. He used that kind to fight. He did not win that battle. But he also did not rest and give up so easily. He followed up when Christ grew. At the end...he still didn't win the battles. Because we even remember people who wanted to push Jesus off cliff. All they wanted is to see him dead. 

Even when the devil was not making drastic progress at the pulpit he had set, he still enrolled more members to join the combat. One fishy one was not far from common knowledge. He was annexed to the Messiah as part and parcel of the ministry. He became a target for enrollment.

But another group of the so called law and order observatories was no where else but in the holy temple. The devil didn't run up and down to cause his own like drunkards and prostitutes to constitute the pulpit. He chose what was so neigh to his target - Christ. What was to be his own support were the ones he chose to cause the skulls. Even when he trusted some to an extent, they were part of the group set to cause ruin.
