EAT YOUR BLESSING
WORKAHAULIC:
EAT YOUR BLESSING
2 Thessalonians 3:7
For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
--------------------------------------------
Every time you enjoy free things you train your brain to want free things.
There is way we like to keep hands folded while seeing work accomplished and things ready. It is like how it feels to wake up early morning only to find all house chores done. We want someone to do the work. We want someone to care and provide. This is how you will see some brethrens who best identify as beggars.
What I have learnt is the habit of begging even when you don't necessarily have to limits the way God provides in your life. It is a way of suppressing your own ability to provide.
Stop the beggary mentality and holding out hands to seek for inputs. Be the one that provides. Stop expecting help from others all the time. You can receive help when given and can call for it when you are at the edge. But that is when you have tried harder than usual and have made it through all possibilities. You may never realise you can unless you try the hardest. The problem of help is that it keeps you warm , waiting for events to turn around. This is like a person who helps you push a bicycle while you are learning to ride. When you reach high speed, he lets you flow alone. It is obvious that what follows is a drastic fall which may discourage you to ride again. That is why you will see some people who become broke after losing a certain friendship...a friend they used to depend on and beg. It's good to try your hardest first. Learn to stand like Paul toiled.
The problem of free things is that free things train you to expect a world of freedom where things come on silver plates.
Work your own blessing and make your own money. It is more pleasant to enjoy the products of your sweat than to wait for help from those that have toiled. What you may receive as free has had someone work to present it. The begging all the time makes you a burden. Paul never wanted to be a burden. You can survive without having to beg every day. God can provide without you forcing means through others every day.
GOD BLESS YOU
