SELF CONTROL 1 Thessalonians 4:4 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable --------------------------------------------     God in his making of creation, He made flesh also. The flesh He made is like another consciousness that rides together with man's spirit. But the flesh's consciousness can command patterns that are weird and not good for a child of God. We may ask , why didn't God make the flesh perfect so that we may live under super perfection without sinful desire and without compromising to our own rules ? We want to make the quick decisions and make the drastic move without delay.  But speed may not be the problem. Going fast is good. But the problem is the kind of roadmap that we are using and the kind of schedule on which we are revolving.  The Bible tells us about the plans of God. It tells us that God has a good plan for us and that His plans are not to destroy us but rather to prosper us and give us a bright future. As part of your equipment have something to dig with, and when you relieve yourself, dig a hole and cover up your excrement. For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you. --------------------------------------------    There are so many things that people have been taught about what will help them get closer to God. Of course they teach about being pure in the spirit and praying all time. They teach about being a righteous person and that we should love our neighbors as we do love ourselves. That such righteous acts will retain God within our ever wanting souls. But there are a number of things that God deals with that if contrary, could reduce His engagement to a minimal level. CONTINUOUS LEARNING Proverbs 2:3-4 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, --------------------------------------------     Did you know that there is a crisis that comes our way just because we lacked wisdom? Life is full of decisions. Every morning we make decisions. Every day we make decisions. But there are decisions that uplift us and there are also decisions that put us to the ground. There are impacts and consequences that follow every decision. Some of these consequences we know and many of these consequences we don't know. But a person who takes time to study an understanding and all the possible consequences behind a decision is far better than a person who randomly selects a decision.
