There was all care given to him. Even when he was growing, all attention and care were given. He was given the knowledge he was supposed to have. They shaped someone from him. The mother and father too cared and ensured thorough upkeep.  There is no day he slept hungry and had not enough to eat. He ate enough and was filled. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. He was a singer. He was great at trade and crafting the money system. He was anointed by God to carry on work and responsibilities diligently. CLANS AT THE MANGER Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh --------------------------------------------     Did you know that you can't say you love God who you don't see when you hate your brother who you see? The magi knew they had a debt. They had to pursue a treasure. A treasure they had never beheld of before until then. They came a group. All the Shepards watched and were amazed. They all knew they had an extraordinary child at their presence. They offered gifts to the child. They worshiped the child. They prayed to the child. They showered love to the child. The clan at the manger knew one thing, - sharing love, worship and merry making.  In this season, bless the born Christ with gifts . Love the born Christ with so much love. OPPORTUNITY Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. --------------------------------------------     There is an example that my pastor at one time used to describe character. She said that when a roof is having a hole and leaks. Every time water leaks, it rubs out sand and breaks a bit of concrete. And if this water has the mind of digging a hole , it would dig it over time from the little drop. Water is weak but is one of the most destructive elements we have. It has claimed lives more than acids. But it does so from a character point of view. This is how powerful discipline is. Displine is not a single button that prompts an overflow of results. WISE NIGHT Matthew 2:14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt --------------------------------------------      There is a season God gives us the blessings. There is a season that there is a bit of lack and so much want. But there are moments that an overflow happens. There is a moment when a new blessing comes your way and is an answer to a long time prayer. Mary and Joseph had their moment of unique blessing. They had their turn to ashame their enemies. They had their turn to feel proud and to feel high in spirit. But chaos erupted. Herod wanted that child dead. He looked for all ways to have the child dead. Mary and Joseph were under strong threat. They had just gotten their blessing and now a crisis starts even before they can lean back and enjoy jovially. He knew that his time for death was nearing. He had to plan for his children on how to leave them. So that he didn't leave them as orphans and ones who hadn't had parents before. He had a large piece of land which he used to cultivate his crops for sale. The land had been used to the extent that in the near future, it would stop yielding good fruits.  So the old man decided to leave the land untouched for the next ten years. Wow... ten years? For example you love your shirt so much that you wear it twice a week. But you fortunately or unfortunately( for someone else), you decide to give it out in order for the other person to be dressed in a way that will be pleasing to you. Maybe you haven't. OMNIPRESENT Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. -------------------------------------------- One trouble that sets the pace of all other troubles is the fact that we draw in our minds. We may move through this world . We may encounter various situations. We may encounter various people. And of course we may encounter various challenges. What sets the pace for great challenges is thinking you are in singular. When a house is built on a single pole, it makes the house vulnerable to winds and rains.
