A SECRET TOOL
A SECRET TOOL
Exodus 14:8
The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out boldly.
--------------------------------------------
Many times we pray that God takes away our enemies. We want to live a free life without disturbances. We want to have peace with all people.
The bitter fact is that you cannot have peace with all people . Even though you try your hardest to make peace, there will be people who try in a certain way to bring in a thick atmosphere. They want to see some conflicts and misunderstanding. They want to see rivals.
Even when Jesus was a good man, he still had enemies too. He had people that rejected his message. He still had people that spoke bad against him. He still had people that planned to kill him. Even his closest had one who planned bad things against him.
But we never see anywhere in the bible where he prayed that his enemies should be banished and separated from his presence. He even instead taught us to pray for our enemies.
There is a tool that God used to shape his chosen ones. God used their enemies. The Israelites were no stranger to this phenomenon. They had enemies from their start till now. But we see that in that above scripture, God had a hand in what the enemy was like. God hardened the heart of the enemy so that he could still fight them. But why would God harden the heart of the enemy? I thought He should make all the exodus an easy way. I thought He could clear all obstacles to aid the Israelites to speedily get to the promised land.
That is not how God wants to work. His objective is an end result that supports both you and Him sufficiently. God may harden the hearts of your enemies just to show you a better way to approach situations of crisis. God may let enemies flood into your life just to teach you humility. He wants to teach you patience. He wants to teach you perseverance. He wants you to be better at the end.
It is a tool. God is not fighting against you. He only wants you to learn a wholesome lesson. He is not driving peace from you, He wants your enemies to live longer to see His glory in your life. He wants your enemies to be the true witnesses of your testimony. Quit worrying about your enemies. Pray for them. God is trying you, to see if you can intercede when you have been hurt. Let your enemies flourish and live to see the goodness of the Lord in your life.
GOD BLESS YOU
