SON OF THE YEAR                   PREPARATIONS Proverbs 30:25 Ants are creatures of little strength,  yet they store up their food in the summer --------------------------------------------     Even in the abundance of summer, the ant is wise. She knows food will not come from the sky and fall to their aid. They work harder to have enough for winter. They gather enough material to erect the strong house. They gather enough food to prepare for the inadequacy that awaits them in the new season. Of course the house they build so diligently will remain as a master piece to remind them of their hardwork in 2026. The seasons are coming this year. The seasons where there will be lack and want. NEW CHALLENGE John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” --------------------------------------------      The higher you go , the harder it becomes. There was a young boy who was prophesied to be the saviour of a people that were tormented by a ruthless king. The boy didn't have enough power and training. So his people started to train him with different skill. A final training was set for him. He was supposed to be trained by the ultimate best trainers. But training at such levels presented immense challenges. We realised that the higher he went the harder it became for him. But also the more he persisted with the challenges and training, the more better he became and the more ready he was to beat the ruthless king. He bought an expensive cup with lots of his money. He loved the cup so much. But it was ordinary because even the neighbours had a number of them. He used to drink every drink using his cup. But the cup got worn out after several years. He used it for 15 years. The cup got broken at the edge where he would drink from. It really got worn out and he needed to buy another. But he was conservative. He still used the broken cup in it's broken state. He gambled using it and it would simply give him hard time using it but he couldn't let go. There was all care given to him. Even when he was growing, all attention and care were given. He was given the knowledge he was supposed to have. They shaped someone from him. CLANS AT THE MANGER Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh --------------------------------------------     Did you know that you can't say you love God who you don't see when you hate your brother who you see? The magi knew they had a debt. They had to pursue a treasure. A treasure they had never beheld of before until then. They came a group. All the Shepards watched and were amazed. They all knew they had an extraordinary child at their presence. They offered gifts to the child. They worshiped the child. They prayed to the child. They showered love to the child. OPPORTUNITY Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. --------------------------------------------     There is an example that my pastor at one time used to describe character. She said that when a roof is having a hole and leaks. Every time water leaks, it rubs out sand and breaks a bit of concrete. And if this water has the mind of digging a hole , it would dig it over time from the little drop. Water is weak but is one of the most destructive elements we have. It has claimed lives more than acids. But it does so from a character point of view. This is how powerful discipline is. Displine is not a single button that prompts an overflow of results. OMNIPRESENT Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. -------------------------------------------- One trouble that sets the pace of all other troubles is the fact that we draw in our minds. We may move through this world . We may encounter various situations. We may encounter various people. And of course we may encounter various challenges. What sets the pace for great challenges is thinking you are in singular. When a house is built on a single pole, it makes the house vulnerable to winds and rains. But the house that is built on various poles and support gives its inhabitants confidence of being safe from any form of disturbances. Well, what kingdom thrives in human bodies.? There is away that may seem narrow but it is a path to the greatness of God. The things that the kingdom of God entails on are ,but a light luggage. Even within scripture, Christ said that those who are heavy weighed should come to Him and he will give them rest. That let them take His yoke , for His is lighter and good to bear.
