ORIENTATION OF THE GODLY

ORIENTATION OF THE GODLY   1 Peter 3:9  Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. -------------------------------------------- Living in life is swaying on a platform of good and bad. It is dwindling in the airs of darkness and light. It is seeing day and night at the same time. But how do we know that something is good? We know that something is good by knowing there is a bad replica. It is obvious that good and bad people present in life. There are people that will come and insult you. There are people that will come to be good but will present their ill intensions in the relationship. Of course when insulted, your mind desires a same measure of insult to be bounced back to the person as a way of quick compensation. But the scripture has lined up. What is godly should be presented as godly. You are to pay the insults with a blessing. We can only know that you are godly with suc

THE CREED AT THE THRONE

Image
THE CREED AT THE THRONE   Psalms 40:1  I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. -------------------------------------------- There are of course alot of times we pray for something and we feel we need that fast enough. And if am not mistaken , it is most of the times that we pray. We simply want answers right then. And some demand for the answers right away. But either way, you want God to come to your aid at the time you think He should come. But have you ever wondered why some people pray and receive their answers alittle fast compared to a similar prayer someone else had? Well that happens, you can pray and I pray the same thing yet we receive answers at different times.  With the scripture above, interpreting it may seem easy, but diving into it could seem a bit hard. The psalmist says, he patiently waited, then the Lord came to him and heard Him. The important note here is patiently waited. And secondly we see that the Lord comes in after a bi

KNOWLEDGE

KNOWLEDGE   Hosea 4:6  my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children -------------------------------------------- One pastor said that whenever we asks God to help us through a circumstance, He either sends someone to help us through or give us knowledge to figure our way through. So that means that at one time He will give us a helper to take us through the circumstance. And at another time He will give us the rightful knowledge to get through the circumstance. Knowledge is power. You couldn't be where you are now if you know more than you know now. One great tool God has used to let some people spin around some points without getting further is the knowledge they can have access to. You know scientist have had alot of things they plan on accomplishing, but they have failed in alot of them. What they have succeeded in i

ZERO TO HERO

ZERO TO HERO   Psalms 113:7-9  He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; 8 he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people. 9 He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord. -------------------------------------------- In the citadel of Susa was a Jew who with others had been carried into exile by Nebuchadnezzar. Mordecai as the Jew, had adopted a seemingly desperate girl. A girl who after had lost everything including her mother and father had become increasingly desperate. He took her as her own daughter.  Them living under the confines of king Xerxes were subject to his decrees. The king decreed, ...he had lost his stuborn wife through Persian policies and now needed another wife. He passed a decree for nobles to find him a better wife.  And because Jews were part of the decree, some ladies including Esther were taken for scrutiny.  And if you remember the story, after 10months of beauty a

CRUCIFIED

CRUCIFIED   Matthew 27:32  As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. 33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull). 34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. 35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 36 And sitting down, they kept watch over him there. 37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews -------------------------------------------- They all had gone. They all had left. Even those that denied Him left. He was alone. He laboured with the cross. He was rolled to the valley of death. He was trashed as though he contained nothing. Surprisingly, the priests were behind His agony. They really loved to see Him like that. Have you ever wondered what kind of priests were these men; these men who by all means made bribes with Judah; t

ONE CHANCE ONE CHANGE

Image
ONE CHANCE ONE CHANGE 1 Peter 3:18  For christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit -------------------------------------------- In those days, people could have animals sacrificed as a way of sanctification. Animals were slaughtered many time as long a someone sinned. God put an end to that. He sent his son Christ to die for our sins once and for all. There will be no more prophecy about the Messiah. There will be no more promise for a Redeemer. It's a one chance...one Redeemer. Many false prophets have come to claim that they are Jesus and have come to save the world. Well of course they perform miracles. They have exra-ordinary power. It's wolve in sheep's clothing. Remember that very many rebellious Angels and Lucifer were tried to take God's position. It is of no surprise that they still duplicate as "God". And that they have the power

CHOSEN FOR PARADISE

Image
CHOSEN FOR PARADISE   Luke 23:42  Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” -------------------------------------------- The two men that were crucified with Jesus were criminals. They had gone through all their lives having crime after crime. They murdered. They stole . They did all sorts of things that society never wanted. And even within them, they knew that if they were to be judged by God, they would fall prey of hell. They consciously knew their stained garment. When it came to the time of crucification. They realised Christ being part of the line. Was he a murderer? Was he a thief? Of course he wasn't. They knew Christ was innocent and they even knew Him as Christ and not just Jesus. The ancient prophecies had always empathized the personality of Christ. And that he was God.  Even at that say, one criminal went on to speak ill about their state with
