THE PASSOVER Luke 2:41  Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom -------------------------------------------- The Israelites suffered alot in the hands of the Egyptians. When they were free from the suffering, they crossed over to liberty thus the name Passover. The custom has been done several generations;.... and in our generation, there is a style. Instead of celebrating the crossover from Egypt to the promised Land, we have the Passover from one year to the other.  After Immanuel was born, Mary His mother went to Jerusalem to have the Passover feast. It was a yearly duty. And when we see in our lives, there is an Egypt that God has set us from and yet there is a different Egypt that the devil plans against us. BROKEN HOUR Luke 1:18  Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.” 19 The angel answered, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. 20 And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time .” -------------------------------------------- Zechariah and his wife were gone in years. They were not having any child with them as their own. They had prayed for one and somehow given up. Now, an angel came to them with a great promise; they will have a son and will name him John. BLESSED FAITH Luke 1:45  Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” -------------------------------------------- In all generation, it was a never heard of reality. There was no reality as a woman to bear children single handedly. Even in the miracles that were heard of, such a miracle was never enlisted. But there they were, Mary was promised to have a child and her husband was to be Joseph. But even before statements sunk in her virgin soul, she was pregnant. She was pregnant through the power of the holy Spirit. But how could she ever tell her relatives about her new status.? How on earth could she explain her claim? But not going further, just right within her, how much of faith could she have to make her believe the angelic messages.  Well, she took on the blind beliefs. But one thing I have noticed is that many of biblical heroes who made faith first were blessed before the fruit of their faith. The first statement that

SONGS OF ANGELS   Luke 2:12  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” -------------------------------------------- The news about His birth couldn't be held in silence. There were might angels that were set out to proclaim His birth.  Shepards lying in wait for the animals expected nothing. They were on their usual routine. Suddenly an angel came to them with unique news. He openly tells them that Christ - the savior has been born. And that they will find him in a manger in Bethlehem. But besides all of these, have you ever wondered as to whether these people really kept keen watch over the Christ that was born; as he grew to become a preacher? WESTERN STAR OF IMMANUEL   Matthew 2:1  After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” -------------------------------------------- The three wise men are at one evening in their eastern territories. Behold, huh...a bright blue "sun" in the night sky. It is there running from the East to West. Ohh...!.  At this exclamation they stepped forward to pursue the star west wise.  The bright star Shone clearly. It was the western star of Immanuel. Being ones who have studied stars and known their relationship to humanity and different births, they well knew that what was born this time is a never heard of thing. It is something they needed to reach out and behold it's glory. Have you ever wondered what the wise men thought about before embarking on the great journey to the West?

I have learnt that unless you give up your burden to a person high in the spirit realm, you will not feel light-headed. You will always feel that it is all about you . CHILDREN OF ZION Psalm 87:6  The Lord will write in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” -------------------------------------------- The Lord has drawn out His plan from the ancient times. That there will be a people that He calls His by a certain signature. He was to send His begotten son to be the signature for His ambition. He was to set a part children of Zion. Zion is a beautiful city...holy and pleasing. The people that are born in her are people that are full of love. They are full of kindness, gentleness, self control. They are the holy ones of Jehovah. And when Christ was born, he finally sealed the signature of a fact that a certain race will be born in Zion...a race of holiness. And that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. They who believe in him shall be called children of God ...they shall be called children of Zion.  Do you know how much of greatness that one shares as a child born in Zion? There is an endless

He studied at the throne and is endowed with greater wisdom than all creation.  Being God's child; one in the likeness of God the Father, He was given more access to heavenly resources than any other creature. He had the most love, most knowledge, most command power. And that even through Him, all things were made. When it came to the project of human extinction, Immanuel intercepted. He suggested

PRIDE OF BETHLEHEM Matthew 2:6. “‘ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel. --------------------------------------------  A small town in the south of Jerusalem is unheard of. It was not the greatest town in times before the Messiah. Bethlehem was a humble land before God drew it on the map. But humble as it was, God made His signature appear from there. A ruler was to be born from that land. One who would change all that Israel had become. It was the pride of Bethlehem. It was their season to prevail. And of course, people started to know the town just after the great story had transpired. Even upto date, people go there to have the feel of what it is like to be in the land where the Messiah was born. From Grass to grace.  There is something that God can use to lift you to somewhere your dreams couldn't reach. There is a simple element that

GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN   Isaiah 52:7.  How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” --------------------------------------------  It is not good to receive good news and you decide to keep it to yourself. There is a purpose as to why God set you to receive the good news. Not everyone receives news at the same time. One person will receive first and is expected to supply it to others. It is a season of great news, the Messiah who was born 2000 years ago reigns. His birth is a mystery to many. He was born of a woman who was a virgin. It is salvation to all nation. Not just for you but to all. Go tell this on the mountain that Jesus was born. There are several people who still think that the Messiah is yet to be born. This is so especially in the Jewish community. They still wait on the king that was promised. They are the people you are to p

It is small and rough to us. It seems not easy. It goes against common conscience. It is painful in this generation.  There is a belief that we behold that is controversial to common beliefs. It is right but a little hard to move along with.  Moving through the realm of salvation is not an easy project. It is filled with ups and downs. Even within scripture, it is said that Christian suffering are not a strange ideas. It is common happenings. That in as much as Christ suffered in this world, we too must suffer. We must carry the cross similar to what He carried...we must carry our own cross.  However, like Peter asked a question to Christ, "what do we gain from following you after we have left our families and our children and our business."; I
